Conferences of interest."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re tantalized by many upcoming opportunities to talk science with other folks interested in hydrology, geomorphology, and human-impacted systems.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lehigh.edu\/~kkp2\/amtrak_2014.html\">The 3rd Annual Amtrak Club of mid-Atlantic geomorphologists<\/a> will be meeting at May 16-17th at Lehigh University. We&#8217;re not mid-Atlantic, but as residents of the Appalachian plateau we can find common ground.<\/li>\n<li>The<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ohiostormcon.com\"> Ohio Stormwater Conference<\/a> is June 4th-6th in Akron.<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cuahsi.org\/2014biennial.aspx\">CUAHSI Biennial meeting<\/a> is July 28th-30th in Shepherdstown, WV.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A little farther out, there are two definite meetings on the lab calendar.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The\u00a0<a style=\"line-height: 15px;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hydrology.org.uk\/meetings_events.php\">British Hydrological Society<\/a><span style=\"line-height: 15px;\">\u00a0is meeting at the University of Birmingham, UK on 2nd-4th September. The theme of the meeting is &#8220;Challenging Hydrological Theory and Practice.&#8221; Anne will be giving a talk on urban stormwater\/stream systems, and is very much looking forward\u00a0to seeing collaborators Grace Garner, David Hannah, Naomi Tague, Sara McMillan and more.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/community.geosociety.org\/gsa2014\/home\/\">Geological Society of America meeting<\/a> is 19th-22nd October in Vancouver, BC. I think as many group members as possible are angling to go to this meeting.
