This is the second paper that I&#8217;ve got into this particular journal, and when I logged into the on-line submission system to have a look at the status of my latest screed, I noticed a rather curious correlation. Both papers took exactly the same time to get through the system, and were submitted (and accepted) on almost exactly the same dates.<br \/>\nMy last paper was initially submitted on April 19, 2005 and accepted on October 18, 2005.<br \/>\nThe new paper was initially submitted on April 21, 2008 and accepted on October 20, 2008.<br \/>\nIt seems that mid-April is an auspicious time for manuscript submission&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week got off to a cheerful start, with the news that I&#8217;ve had my latest paper accepted for publication.
