That&#8217;s what makes the England team&#8217;s achievement something special: they found within themselves the fortitude to not only stop the rot, but to gain a fair amount of momentum in the opposite direction. Whatever the result against South Africa in the final, they should be saluted.<br \/>\nMeanwhile, I&#8217;ve probably got a lovely week of jibes about &#8216;negative rugby&#8217; (given that this seems to involve <em>not<\/em> letting the other side run four tries past you,  I&#8217;m wondering exactly why I should regard this as an insult) to look forward to&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Who ever thought that I&#8217;d be so happy to be proven wrong?
