A smaller side tunnel (this is why we were issued hard hats). One of the things that was most interesting to me, was the amount of water in the tunnel, even a day after the last rain storm. I suspect that this indicates some groundwater discharge into the stormwater network, or leaky water supply pipes, somewhere up in this pipe’s watershed. Even more interesting, the baseflow was turbid with suspended sediment.
