This week got off to a cheerful start, with the news that I’ve had my latest paper accepted for publication. This is the second paper that I’ve got into this particular journal, and when I logged into the on-line submission system to have a look at the status of my latest screed, I noticed a rather curious correlation. Both papers took exactly the same time to get through the system, and were submitted (and accepted) on almost exactly the same dates.
My last paper was initially submitted on April 19, 2005 and accepted on October 18, 2005.
The new paper was initially submitted on April 21, 2008 and accepted on October 20, 2008.
It seems that mid-April is an auspicious time for manuscript submission…
